PROFESSIONAL PROFILE:
Mitsu Haraguchi is a registered patent
agent with a practice focused on patent procurement in the areas of
biology and chemistry. As a native of Japan, Mr. Haraguchi also
helps develop business relationships with Japanese clients while
communicating in Japanese orally and in writing.
Prior to becoming an agent, Mr. Haraguchi worked at New York-based
law firms as a patent prosecution paralegal conducting all aspects
of patent prosecution including preparing and filing patent
applications (both US and PCT), Information Disclosure Statements,
Preliminary Amendments, Requests for Certificate of Corrections,
Assignments, Oaths and Declarations, and Requests for PTA
recalculation, etc. He also has paralegal experience in patent
infringement cases. Before beginning his legal career, Mr. Haraguchi
also worked as a technical translator for various clients including
major pharmaceutical and medical device companies.
Mr. Haraguchi graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural
Chemistry and a Masters of Science in Biochemistry from the
University of Tsukuba in Japan. He also graduated with Departmental
Award for Excellence in Directing from New York University with a
Masters of Fine Arts in Film & TV Production.
