PROFESSIONAL PROFILE:

Jordan Garner has experience assisting clients across a wide spectrum of technical disciplines. He has provided patent prosecution and litigation services in fields as diverse as consumer products, industrial refinery processes, textile technologies, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, electro-mechanic devices and genetic engineering. Additionally, he has experience handling a wide range of intellectual property issues involving trademark and copyright claims.

As an attorney registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Mr. Garner assists clients in protecting their intellectual property at all stages, from creation to enforcement. He has helped clients identify patentable inventions and avoid prior art in order to obtain protection. He has experience in providing opinions on patentability, IP portfolio valuation, freedom-to-operate, Abbreviated New Drug Applications (ANDA) submission, infringement, and validity issues so that clients can make informed decisions on intellectual property matters.

Mr. Garner has worked on intellectual property litigation representing both defendants and plaintiffs in matters involving patent, trademark and trade dress infringement, as well as domain name disputes. Prior to joining Leason Ellis, Mr. Garner was an Associate at Morgan & Finnegan LLP and Hedman & Costigan P.C.

Mr. Garner received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. While in law school, he interned for Judge Randall R. Rader of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He holds a L.L.M from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, with a concentration in international intellectual property. He also holds a B.A. in Science & Technology Studies, (Biology and Society) from Cornell University.
